NBHEA 2014 Conference
Theme: Nourishing Our Brain
The Board of Directors and the conference organizing committee invite you to join them for the annual NBHEA 2014 Conference at the Jacqueline-Bouchard Building, Université de Moncton, on May 2nd and 3rd 2014.
The theme Nourishing Our Brain outlines that as professionals, it is important to continue developing our knowledge throughout our lives. Recent research (Wilson & Conyers, 2013)shows the importance to learn with others and that each of us has a potential for learning. As well, the relationship between our brain, the food we eat and physical activity are increasingly in evidence linked.
We are looking forward to entertaining you as soon as you arrive Friday night at 7:00 p.m. with the social evening since our brain develops more appropriately when we are in an environment full of confidence and congeniality!
Early Saturday morning, we will greet you with a full day of activities with the theme Nourishing our Brain. Our keynote speaker will be Julie Caissie, PhD who will present her doctoral thesis results followed by a review of the workshop « The Brazelton Neonatal Assessment-evaluation of newborn behavior » at the Boston's Children's Hospital. The Honorable Dorothy Sheppard, Minister of Healthy and Inclusive Communities will speak to us followed by a question period. During the lunch, you will be entertained with special presentations of the ACHES conference presented by Stéphanie Arsenault, followed by Jeanne Godin, PhD with a presentation on the highlights of the conference of the Family Economics and Resource Management Association in Savanah, GE. We will complete the lunch with the Ring Ceremony.
The AGM will follow. Then to finish our day, we will have a workshop on Mindfullness by Tina Antel, MSW, RSW, nd from Health and Wellness Cooperative.
Hoping to see you at the conference,
Organizing committee 2014,
Murielle, Jeanne, Lise, Margaret, Charline, Joline, Annie and Stéphanie
